{"id":2364,"date":"2008-11-24T07:00:15","date_gmt":"2008-11-24T11:00:15","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.lifewithhappiness.com\/?p=304"},"modified":"2018-10-02T17:02:19","modified_gmt":"2018-10-02T21:02:19","slug":"happiness-is-a-warm-hat","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/theexecutivehappinesscoach.com\/2008\/11\/happiness-is-a-warm-hat\/","title":{"rendered":"Happiness is a Warm Hat"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>We drove to South Bend to see Syracuse play Notre Dame this weekend.\u00a0 While there we met up with our daughter and son-in-law, and his parents and his sister and her new husband.\u00a0 Fun time!<br \/>\nIt was cold.\u00a0 We did a little tailgating, but no one really wanted to spend a lot of time out in a tundra-like parking lot.\u00a0 The game was the big draw.\u00a0 Like always, the atmosphere on the Notre Dame campus on a Football Weekend is nearly electric.\u00a0 Although the focus was on football, a lot of people were also lauding the <a href=\"\/\/und.cstv.com\/sports\/w-soccer\/recaps\/112208aaa.html\">Women&#8217;s Soccer team<\/a>, which had won in overtime the nite before to boost their record to 24-0-0 &#8212; WOW!<br \/>\nSo, back to the cold. 24 degrees doesn&#8217;t sound that cold&#8230; until one has to be outside in that temperature for four or five hours.<br \/>\nAnd the temperature drops to 18 degrees.<br \/>\nAnd you are standing on solid ice because it snowed 6&#8243; just before the game.<br \/>\nAnd your team loses in an embarrassing game filled with lost opportunities.<br \/>\nDid you know that 18 degrees Farenheit is -8 Celsius?\u00a0 With windchill, that&#8217;s -17 degrees Celsius.<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/theexecutivehappinesscoach.com\/files\/2008\/11\/img_3762edi.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-308\" title=\"Jim &#038; Cheryl at the game\" src=\"https:\/\/theexecutivehappinesscoach.com\/files\/2008\/11\/img_3762edi-228x300.jpg\" alt=\"Check out those mittens!\" width=\"228\" height=\"300\" \/><\/a><br \/>\nWell, despite the cold, we had a great time.\u00a0 We were insulated with up to five layers of clothing &#8212; all of it green or navy, of course &#8212; and drank our share of hot cocoa served at 500 degrees (which is a trip and a half to drink when wearing mittens!).<br \/>\nAnd my head stayed warm under three wraps.<br \/>\nHappiness is a warm hat<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We drove to South Bend to see Syracuse play Notre Dame this weekend.\u00a0 While there we met up with our daughter and son-in-law, and his parents and his sister and her new husband.\u00a0 Fun time!
