{"id":2383,"date":"2009-01-14T14:15:50","date_gmt":"2009-01-14T18:15:50","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.lifewithhappiness.com\/?p=487"},"modified":"2018-10-03T16:03:10","modified_gmt":"2018-10-03T20:03:10","slug":"happy-making-with-wordle","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/theexecutivehappinesscoach.com\/2009\/01\/happy-making-with-wordle\/","title":{"rendered":"Happy-Making With Wordle!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I came across an incredibly fun and visually creative Web 2.0 site today: <a href=\"http:\/\/wordle.net\">www.wordle.net.<\/a> It brought a smile to my face, and I decided to share!<br \/>\nYou link to or paste in text (e.g. from a blog, article, whatever) and the site creates a <a title=\"Wikipedia on Tag Clouds\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Tag_cloud\">Tag Cloud<\/a> (visual word cluster &#8212; such as you see at this blog site on the lower right, where higher frequency words appear larger, etc)<br \/>\nThe Twist that make this site different from &#8220;competitor&#8221; sites: You can play with orientation (vertical, horizontal, or every which way), the font, the color, and even the language!\u00a0\u00a0 Here&#8217;s what emerged when I pasted in my <a title=\"13 Principles of Happiness online\" href=\"https:\/\/theexecutivehappinesscoach.com\/2011\/10\/13-principles\/\" target=\"_blank\">13 Principles of Happiness<\/a>:<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-492\" title=\"13-principles\" src=\"https:\/\/theexecutivehappinesscoach.com\/files\/2009\/01\/13-principles.jpg\" alt=\"13-principles\" width=\"439\" height=\"635\" \/><br \/>\nSee it at the Source: <a href=\"http:\/\/www.wordle.net\/gallery\/wrdl\/437496\/13_Principles_of_Happiness_2\">www.wordle.net<\/a><!--[if gte mso 9]&gt;   1024x768  &lt;![endif]--><!--[if gte mso 9]&gt;  Normal 0     false false false  EN-US X-NONE X-NONE              MicrosoftInternetExplorer4              &lt;![endif]--><!--[if gte mso 9]&gt;--><br \/>\nWay cool, eh?!\u00a0 I&#8217;m very visual, so creativity of this sort appeals to me in many ways.\u00a0 How might I use something like this?\u00a0 Post an announcement.\u00a0 Give visual oomph to verbal content.\u00a0 Make a point in a different way.\u00a0 Write Visual Poetry ala ee cummings.\u00a0 Create a PowerPoint slide that&#8217;s FAR from boring.<br \/>\nOr maybe, just maybe&#8230; for FUN!\u00a0 For the pure pleasure of it.\u00a0 We gotta make our own Happiness!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I came across an incredibly fun and visually creative Web 2.0 site today: www.wordle.net.
