{"id":900,"date":"2009-05-20T22:42:52","date_gmt":"2009-05-21T02:42:52","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.lifewithhappiness.com\/?p=900"},"modified":"2018-10-02T13:36:54","modified_gmt":"2018-10-02T17:36:54","slug":"whats-love-got-to-do-with-it","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/theexecutivehappinesscoach.com\/2009\/05\/whats-love-got-to-do-with-it\/","title":{"rendered":"What&#039;s Love Got To Do With It?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>One of my clients has been blogging her way through the coaching experience.\u00a0 After years of holding all her thoughts inside, she&#8217;s discovered that writing helps her reveal herself to herself.\u00a0 Recently, we revisted an old topic &#8212;  <strong><strong><strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000\">\u2665<\/span><\/strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000\"> <\/span><\/strong><\/strong>self love.<strong><strong><strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000\">\u2665 <\/span><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><br \/>\nThis client (who goes by the anonymous title of Spudsie, a childhood nickname) is an animated writer, so if you go to read this entry, hang on for a wild ride.\u00a0 She&#8217;s also &#8220;into&#8221; references to Winnie-the-Pooh characters.\u00a0 She&#8217;s been channeling Eeyore for years, and she wants to experience more of Tigger.<br \/>\n<a title=\"Spudsie's Blog\" href=\"http:\/\/happinessalongtheway.wordpress.com\/2009\/04\/23\/what%E2%80%99s-love-got-to-do-with-it\/\">Take a look at her blog post, here<\/a><br \/>\nI mention this because the subject of self-love comes up often in the Happiness conversation.\u00a0 Spudsie&#8217;s struggle is similar to what I see many people go thru, and I really admire her courage in posting her progress on the web.\u00a0 I&#8217;m also impressed with the support she gets from her internet friends across the country.\u00a0 Her struggles mirror the struggles that other people have, and so she&#8217;s created a sort of learning-together community.<\/p>\n<h2><strong><strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000\">\u2665 <\/span><\/strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000\">\u2665 <\/span>What&#8217;s Love Got to Do With Happiness? <strong><strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000\">\u2665 <\/span><\/strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000\">\u2665<\/span><\/strong><\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Two weeks ago I heard a series of great motivations talks where the message of self-responsibility was a constant theme.\u00a0 I attended sessions with a professional speaker from Australia who lived in the UK, a Maori warrior who talks on leadership, a life coach from Vancouver, BC, a Malay gentleman who runs a global school for professional speakers, and an Irish expat who lives in Singapore.<br \/>\nMy learning: <em><strong>no matter where you&#8217;re from or where on the globe you live, one of the most powerful ways to change your world is to change how you behave, and let the rest of you grow into it.<\/strong><\/em><br \/>\nSo the message I brought back into my conversations is this:\u00a0 If you want the rest of the world to like you\/love you\/treat you better, guess what?
